STA-0203

$4,590

Designed in collaboration with Studio KO, STA-0203 is a relic-turned rug inspired by the subtle precision of a perforated sheet. Its Rabat construction features tens of thousands of tightly-woven woolen knots.

Woven from the highest quality fine wool, rugs born from the Rabat method consist of 64 knots per square inch versus the 15 knots of a shaggy Atlas design. The intricacy of this added effort allows for more creative liberty within the rug’s decoration.

500 Years In The Making

Rabat is our evolved revival of the R’bati carpet, a hyper-fine point knotted style with roots that date back to Morocco’s palatial interiors of the early 19th century.

The Fine Print

One of One

Every rug is made by hand from 100% natural wool, which means there will be beautiful variations in pattern and color authored by Mother Nature herself. These are sure signs of an authentic Moroccan rug made for and by idiosyncratic people. Final sizes can vary by up to 5% from the size ordered.

Vast Intricacies

Woven from the highest quality fine wool, rugs born from the Rabat method consist of 64 knots per square inch versus the 15 knots of a shaggy Atlas design. The intricacy of this added effort allows for more creative liberty within the rug’s decoration.

A Spirited Exchange

The evolved revival of this method bridges past and present, paying homage to Morocco’s landscapes, people, and stories while in spirited exchange with the world. It is both a preservation and a re-imagination of the craft.

From Marrakech, Rabat, and Casablanca to Milan

Our Rabat technique made its debut in the spring of 2025 with the release of Intersection, a collection of ten rugs designed by Paris and Marrakech-based architecture firm Studio KO.

Order Swatches

Your order is made entirely by hand from 100% natural wool, which means there will be natural (and beautiful) variations in pattern and color. Wool shrinks! While we do our best, final sizes can vary by 5%

Our Process

The Beni Difference

Our expert team’s deft touch at washing (a proprietary process) creates uniquely soft, forever decadent rugs. Each finished design is showered up to five times and dried on handmade racks under the warmth of the desert sun until it's time to move along to the next step in the process. This part of our method took three years of research and development to perfect. As if by sleight of hand, it locks in the rug's pigment while breaking down and softening the wool’s natural fibers. The end result is an heirloom that offers a world beneath your feet.
