NOT-0203 Runner

$550

Designed in collaboration with Studio KO, NOT-0203 is a relic-turned rug inspired by the patina of a timeworn journal page. Its flatwoven Zahara construction features hand-embroidery, a level of virtuoso embellishment that only a handful of weavers in our studio can execute. A masterclass in craft.

Lead Time

Each and every Beni rug is woven entirely by hand and then washed and dried in the mountain air. Current lead times are:

  • 9' x 12' and smaller: 12-16 weeks
  • Larger than 9' x 12’: 16 - 20 weeks

Since your rug is hand-crafted, there will be natural, beautiful variations in pattern and color. These are sure signs of an authentic rug made just for you. Final sizes and pile heights can vary by up to 5% from what is ordered.

The Fine Print

One of One

Every rug is made by hand from 100% natural wool, which means there will be beautiful variations in pattern and color authored by Mother Nature herself. These are sure signs of an authentic Moroccan rug made for and by idiosyncratic people. Final sizes can vary by up to 5% from the size ordered.

Travel Paths

Zahara rugs are flat, roughly 0.4" thick. Easy and approachable for high-traffic areas, this construction offers a light feel underfoot and pairs well with warm weather.

A Touch of Expertise

The technique of hand-embroidery over Zahara rugs requires a haute-level of unwavering skill that only a handful of artisans in our studio can execute. The ability to author this arduous craft is a milestone achievement in the lifetime of a weaver that's earned through experience and dedication.

A Forward Lean

Traditionally, Zahara rugs featured bold geometric patterns or minimalist motifs. With these high-touch embroidered designs, our studio is pushing the envelope of what's expected in order to make room for the future of this ancient craft.

Order Swatches

Your order is made entirely by hand from 100% natural wool, which means there will be natural (and beautiful) variations in pattern and color. Wool shrinks! While we do our best, final sizes can vary by 5%

Rug being cleaned
;

the proof is in the process

Fast gets the attention, but slow has all the power

Though there are many steps in the making of every rug, our washing method is is where innovation braids into the traditional craft most technically. Once woven, each finished design is power-washed and scrubbed up to five times before moving to the wooden racks in our courtyard. Years of research and development went into this one, proprietary step in the production process, resulting in relentlessly soft and resilient rugs that will last lifetimes.

These rugs are so soft, you can practically count them as guest beds.
