We are looking for a leader to fill the role of Head of Product Development and Quality. This crucial position will drive the execution of innovative product designs and ensure the highest standards of quality across our operations.

The successful candidate will oversee the development of a diverse range of rug collections, including those designed in-house and in collaboration with partners. Additionally, they will lead our quality control team to ensure unparalleled craftsmanship and consistency in our products.

This role is key to establishing our brand as a global leader in design-forward, high-quality rugs.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development:

• Design Execution: Oversee the development and execution of multiple design concepts throughout the year. This includes Beni-designed collections as well as collaborative projects with interior design firms and other high profile partners.
• Innovation and Prototyping: Lead the creation of new constructions, techniques, and design ideas. Drive the prototyping process to ensure the development of cutting-edge, high-quality rugs.
• Exceptional Organization: Be able to keep multiple, parallel projects perfectly organized and on track.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with designers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to bring innovative rug collections to market. Ensure alignment between design vision and practical execution.
• Trend Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our products remain at the forefront of the market.

Quality Management:

• Quality Control Oversight: Lead a team of quality control experts and engineers to implement and maintain rigorous quality standards across all aspects of production, including raw material orders, weaving, washing, hand finishing, and shipping.
• Process Optimization: Develop and enforce smooth operating procedures to enhance consistency and efficiency in production. Identify and address areas for improvement to elevate quality standards.
• Global Standards: Ensure our quality practices are aligned with international standards and best practices, aiming to achieve a level of craftsmanship that sets new benchmarks in Moroccan rug making.
• Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any quality issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction and uphold the brand’s reputation.

Leadership and Team Management:

• Team Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team dedicated to product development and quality control. Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Project Coordination: Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful product launches and quality outcomes.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Internal Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams regarding product development and quality matters. Communicate progress, challenges, and successes to senior management.
• External Collaboration: Engage with collaborators, interior design firms, and other partners to ensure seamless integration of design concepts and maintain strong working relationships.
