The Partners
We believe in the power of unexpected partnerships to breathe new life into ancient tradition. Our designs live in the tension between the global influences of our designers and the hands of our weavers. We like to think of it as an ever evolving conversation between then and now.
Athena Calderone is a true multi-hyphenate - a stylist, designer, storyteller, and cookbook author. She brought sun-faded hues, elegant simplicity and breezy styling to Broken Symmetry, her first collection for Beni. Her second collection, Salon, is an evolution of our partnership. Capturing, in essence, the architecture of a memory, this subtle yet expressive collection finds its rhythm in the sinuous curves and geometric glamour of 1920 and 1930s design.
Settled in the 1940s high atop the hills of Los Angeles, Flamingo Estate throughout its history has been a hedonistic enclave of sun-worship, folk mythologies, and psychedelic remedies — a secret haven for wild alchemy in the City of Angels. Now, Flamingo Estate is the home of Richard Christiansen, and, in the spirit of its origins, a radical celebration of pleasure from the garden. Championing the idea that Mother Nature is the last great luxury house, and sourcing rare ingredients from over 100 biodynamic farms. Flamingo Estate’s collection is inspired by the architectural details and transcendent garden of their Studio KO-designed HQ.
Colin King is a stylist and artistic director based in New York City. Colin was Beni’s first stylist, first collaborator and is now our aptly named Artistic Director at Large - it’s not easy to keep up with his inspiring travels. Bringing a love of the natural, an eye for unexpected pairings, and a contagious sense of humor to our world - Colin is part of the family. Be sure to check out Colin's other 3 collections: Shape of Color, Spoken Lines, and Obscura.
Tom Delavan is the Design Editor of T: The New York Times Style Magazine, as well as a designer of eclectic interiors that reflect his varied references and carefully honed eye. Tom designed Archival, a collection diving deep into Turkey’s history of rug making and vibrantly alive with saturated hues.
